Refresh

I recently went on a women's retreat through my church and the theme was

REFRESH

They did such a good job planning it. When we arrived they had notebooks set out on the tables for us to take notes in during the weekend. And they also had scrapbook paper, tape, glue, and a few markers set out so we could each personalize the covers.

I unfortunately arrived a few minutes late and didn't have the time to decorate mine with pretty paper.

Luckily I never travel without a Sharpie!

I decorated mine as words spoke to me during the entire weekend.

Reminds Me of Olives

I really like color combo of the painting I made for a friend, so I created a much smaller scale piece with one of the original sketches I made for her.

I've actually put a glossy finish on it since I took the picture. I like it better that way.
So imagine it if you can....

Smoke Like

I currently have an A-MAZ-ING student teacher.

Luckily for me her strength is my weakness...

WATERCOLOR.

This week she taught my advanced students some watercolor techniques and I got to play too!
This one reminded me of really pretty smoke.
What does it remind you of?

Inspired

I read in a book that make-up sponges (you know, the triangle things) are great applicators for ink (stamp pads) and paint.

So I tried it out.
Pretty quick and easy!
(with no clean up since I just threw them in a bowl for later use!)
