Snow Day Painting #3 & #4 & (I.F.)

The weather has warmed up a bit, but here are two more paintings I made while on my unofficial winter break.

I had enough gray ice & snow that needed to paint something with brighter colors. Considering I had only left the house once (for 30 min to run to target) in 4 days I was hoping to reverse (the Illustration Friday for the week) the weather and warm it up a bit.

Here's another mixed media painting started and completed in two days.

Thank you crazy blizzard weather! 

This one gave me a bit of trouble. 

I got stuck at one point, but finally the key came to mind and finished it off for me!

I'm on snow day #4 and have found plenty to occupy my time.

I could totally handle being jobless. 

Assuming my husband wasn't of course.

Watercolor House

A year and a half ago, when we bought our first house (!), I made some sketches of houses.

They are more contemporary and modern with a little abstraction. 

The sketches stayed in my sketchbook until last week. 

I finally completed about half of them. 

I really like them and hope to make more.
