Busy as a Bee

Yep. That's me. Extremely busy.

But I managed to find time today to experiement with some image transfers.

I came up with this little beauty.

It's in my altered book that is about 5x7".
I used Citrasolv to transfer the bee and then accented it with Sharpie.
The fingerprint things under the bee are transfered with matte medium.

(Use a laser print and put the matte medium on the image/ink.  Put the image face down and burnish with a spoon. Let it dry completely then put water on the back of the image and rub away the paper slowly.)

I prefered the look of the Citrasolv over the matte medium because it looked a little cloudy, but I used watercolor on top and I seemed to like it more.

I continued to doodle with Sharpie and called it a day.

I'm quite happy with my little mixed media piece!

  1. OOOOOO! This looks great! I've never tried using Citrasolv for image transfer. It's good to know it works so well. I'll have to try it: )

  2. I've wanted to try Citrasolv. Looks great! Love the color palette too!
